Common AC Problems and When to Replace a Component
By UrbanQuick Store Editorial Team · Updated
Poor cooling
Often caused by dirty filters, a blocked outdoor unit, low refrigerant or an incorrectly sized AC. Clean the filters first; refrigerant issues need a technician.
Water leaking indoors
Usually a blocked drain pipe or dirty indoor coil. Regular servicing helps prevent it.
Not starting or switching off
Can be caused by power supply problems, a faulty capacitor, sensor or control board. A technician should diagnose before parts are replaced.
Unusual noise
Loose panels, a damaged fan or worn motor bearings can cause noise. Switch off and get it checked.
